Court Reporter's Oath
Being admitted to the profession of court reporting, I solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of a court reporter, acting always as a neutral third party to protect the accuracy of the record of the proceeding I report, to the best of my knowledge and ability. I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity and in keeping with the professional standards of court reporting.
Note: This voluntary oath was approved at the November 19, 2013 Board meeting.
